HEPATITIS C
An infection caused by a virus that attacks the liver and leads to inflammation. Sometimes can be life-threatening. The virus is spread by contact with contaminated blood; for example, from sharing needles or from unsterile tattoo equipment that the reason it is also known as Bloodborne Virus. The virus can cause both acute and chronic hepatitis, ranging in severity from a mild illness lasting a few weeks to a serious, lifelong illness.
